What the numbers mean for you
Rakeback is small but certain. 3.5% of the house edge means 3.5% × 4% = 0.14% of turnover on a 96% slot: $14 per $10,000 wagered. On Stake Originals with a 1% edge it is 0.035% of turnover. It never requires clearing, and it is paid regardless of whether you won or lost.
A partner deposit bonus is the opposite profile. With deposit-plus-bonus wagering at 30×, a $100 bonus demands $6,000 of bets. On a 96% slot that is an expected loss of $240 against $100 of bonus. Unless the multiplier in your account is far below 30, or you were going to wager that volume anyway, the bonus costs more than it gives. Run your own number in the calculator above; do not use ours.
A deposit bonus locks the balance. Once a partner deposit bonus is credited, Stake activates the requirement automatically and withdrawals of that currency wait until the progress bar is full or the funds are used up ("Can I withdraw or deposit funds while I have an active deposit bonus requirement?" in the help centre covers the details). Read the offer page of the code you plan to use before depositing; the rakeback welcome offer has no such lock.
